: Be happy to, although you would have to get the log to me. That would be too
: far for me to hike with everything. If you have (or can borrow) a trailer,
: come-along, a few lengths of chain, and a fulcrum (pry or spud bar, or
: even a 2x8 for use as a fulcrum), it is a fairly easy thing to skid/roll a
: log that size onto a utility trailer. If you have several strong friends,
: you could even tip it into the back of a pickup, especially if you took a
: couple of feet off the ends.
: Speaking of ends- did you seal the ends? If you have any old latex paint
: hanging around, it's not a bad idea to slop a few coats onto the ends of
: the log to minimize end-checking from excessive moisture loss. Mike
Where in WV??Yes I sealed the ends onthe trunk and all of my other pieces,some 40 other nice ones. Even some really nice curved sections. I will definitly stay in touch. Thanks a lot.
