Greenland art taken from greenlad postage stamps, as this is, can be found at

http://stamptravel-scandinavia.school.dk/frame_GreenlandTupilak.htm

The story of Greenland's beginnings, form the time of Eric the Red and his son Leif, as written on

http://stamptravel-scandinavia.school.dk/frame_GreenlandVikings.htm

suggests that their trading with the "Esquimos" was with Canadian groups, not with established natives of Greenland, so I'm uncertain as to whether there were any permanent residents of Greenland before the Vikings. That would suggest that that the group you would want artwork from might include aboriginal peoples from northeastern Canada.

By the way, check out all the Greenland related links at the bottom of the page. The ones dealing with Sirius, while unrelated to kayaking, are fascinating.

Greenlandic art is described in this article, which says among other things:
'The Greenlandic word for art, erqumitsuliaq, literally means "something odd, which has been constructed" '

If you are interested in using some of the designs from tupilaks (or tupilaqs) you may want to read this history of them first.

The same story is told here, but with more pictures, which show the phallic nature of these items.

And here is another story about these items:

Hopefuly you can find a design from one of these sources.

Now here is a reminder to not go over any waterfalls, or you'll end up looking like:
