Hi folks,

I'm just starting to build Nick's Great Auk Double. Because I've already built a s&g but mostly because I've been visiting this board for a while I'm not too concerned about the build process (yet). I've got the forms on the strongback this past weekend but haven't started the stripping yet.

I chose this boat for use in future adventure races in Fla because we have to supply our own boats in all the big races. This one sounds like a better answer than spending $3K on a good tandem. Has anyone out there actually built the Great Auk Double from the plans? If so I would really like to hear about how these boats paddle. This may be a good opertunity for someone to bring out those old picures of their completed boat because I would really like to see them.
