Material: coating for minicell foam seats

Has anyone tried coating minicell foam seats with "snow roofing " or "plasti dip" ? I am looking for a way to change the color and to make the seats more durable. Plasti Dip is used to coat plier handles and stuff like that. I am not sure how it would hold up to the effects of the sun. It does stick well however. The "snow roofing " can be colored with additives and should hold up well in the sun but I think it may need a special primer to work. Does any one have any thoughts on the subject? Joe
