Of the lighter weight fabrics from Dyson the 9 oz ( actually 8.8 oz ) is polyester and of a slightly looser weave than the 8 oz nylon. The nylon feels a bit thicker/harder/tougher likely a function of how the weave accepts the coating and of course the individual coating has a bearing on the "feel" of the coated skin.
