Epoxy: Measuring suggestion

I'm gearing up for putting epoxy on a kayak, and rebelled against all the convoluted ways of measuring and mixing. So I sat down and had a think, and this is what I came up with:
Go to your nearest petrol station (North Americans please read gas station)and ask them for some empty oil bottles. They come in various sizes, but I am using 1 litre bottles. On the side they have a clear strip and a quantity indicator every 50 ml and a larger one every 100 ml. (I don't know what that is in American). Glue a plastic tap in the lid and screw it back on when set(cut off the bend, or use an inline tap). Turn the bottle upside down and cut open the bottom, and cut the top part off another bottle and stick that over the entire base for a lid. You then have a place for a funnel, or if you remove it, a big hole under this lid to pour in the resin. Make a cradle for two bottles upside down. Place the bottle in the cradle, pour epoxy in the bottom end (which is now the top). Fill it to one of the marks next to the clear indicator strip, put your lid back on and you are ready to roll. If you overfill, simply drain from the tap until you are on a line from which you can reference. Read off the amount of epoxy you use on the bottle itself. It is gravity fed and won't burp like pumps. Make a similar bottle for the hardener and put that bottle in the cradle as well. Use a different colour bottle for the hardner. Put the cup on the bench underneath the dispensers, decant, mix well and you are on your way. Less mess and easy to do.
