S&G: Veneer sample board *Pic*

Awhile back, I mentioned that I'd made a sample board of different veneers on a piece of Okoume in my hunt for an accent stripe. Here's a picture of the board I made. The lighting is a little funky, I'm afraid, so it will be of minimal usefulness, but you can at least get an idea of what they look like.

If my memory is correct, the wood types are from right to left (lightest to darkest): white birch, ash, african mahogany, red birch, and then pieces from two different rolls of "regular" mahogany (south american?) I later added another row with a couple more types - maple, walnut, and sapelo (sp?). It's fun to mess with and they are pretty to look at, but deciding which to use is a bear. One day I like the lightest or the darkest for the contrast and the next I like the ones in the middle because they blend nicely. Decision making ain't my strong point. Gotta pick one and get on with it, though.
