I just had a successful launch of my FAP-15 this morning. I rigged a temporary seat and seat back which will stay that way until I cut into the skin and make it a folder.
A buddy took some photos that I'd love to post but don't have anywhere to put them on the web at the moment. If anyone could temporarily host them, I'd be happy to send them so folks could see.
I'm rather inexperienced with paddling, so I'm not sure what to tell about its performance, other than no water leaked, it was a tad tippy for me at first until I got more comfortable, and after I got to where leaning into a turn felt better the boat seemed to move around well.
It has 4 coats of elastomer on the hull, and I'm going to add a couple more. It also needs the coaming lip of 1/8" HDPE.
Thanks to Tom and this list for encouragement as I've worked on making this dream a reality.
Warmly,
Wayne
