First, the only good news/bad news joke I can ever remember:

Setting: WWII concentration camp (picture Hogan's Heros)
The Komandant comes in to the barracks for morning inspection. Then he addresses the prisoners, "Men, I haff for you today ze good news und ze bad news. Today for ze first time in six months, you vill get to change your undervears". A cheer erupts among the haggard prisoners. Then an uneasy silence. "Und now for ze bad news...Zis one change mit zis one. Zis one change mit zis one..."

GOOD NEWS: I just tested 2 patches of 8 oz. nylon with Heat n Bond tape from Walmart. I'm impressed with the ease of application, and could not pull the two patches apart after gluing them this way. They'll clearly do the job from the standpoint of resisting pulling apart that way.

BAD NEWS: I can peel the two peices apart, with only moderate pressure. They resist pulling, but not peeling.

My question: Will this hold even better and resist peeling if treated in a different way?

I suppose that if I can't improve on what I've got now in this first attempt, I could always use contact cement to secure a strip over the seam to prevent inadvertent peeling.

And yes, I'm peeling just fine thanks - how about you?
