I accidentally ended up with a nice, glossy gunmetal grey--I was too cheap to buy graphite powder at the marine store, but I had a small tube of "GRAPHITE POWDER..." dry lubricant left from the hobby shop (for pinewood derby cars). I couldn't figure out why my thigh brace flanges didn't come out black until I read the fine print on the tube: "...with molybdenum."
