Went out for a fall foliage trip today with some friends. I found myself in my first case of parking lot syndrome. I'm afraid I handled it poorly.
I got several positive comments on the Guillemot. Did I make it ,is it a kit...etc. But the topper was this guy asking me where I got a kayak that "looked just like wood". I was so taken back that I was alittle rude in my response "It is wood and I built it myself"
I think that I will try to avoid responding to those types of questions without considering my tone, and the fact that I am an ambasador of a great artform/sport.
