Material: Varnish type for ballistic nylon skin

My skin-on-frame si almost done, and I'm just finishing up the coaming before beginning the skinning process.

I read some time back about types of varnish for nylon skins. It seems that the prevailing suggestion was a waterborn varnish for all-around performance. I couldn't find the thread, though, and I'm wondering if waterborn varnish is still the way to go, and if so, what brands and versions have people had the best luck with? After this much lead-up, I can't shake this fear of screwing up the skin.

Help please for the paranoid in Santa Cruz...
Mark
