Certainly something any talented tinkerer could do. I still have one of those toilet plungers Mike Allen wrote about a while back. These Guzzlers are pretty easy to install, though. The only problem I have with this idea is a long-earned suspicion of pumps and piping systems. They will lie to you and leak, so I'm not sure I would trust them on the sealed side of the bulkhead. At least with the Guzzlers, if they blow up you won't risk losing bouyancy.

No, but they have one with the inlet and outlet on the SAME side. Maybe that would get you there easier than the top-and-bottom design. Check the link from the answer to Bill; it's in there somewhere.

Nope. From my understanding of their migrations, they only stop by here on their way North in the springtime. It'll only be a few weeks more before I start thinking cross country skiing, anyway.
