i just noticed the .nz in your address, so you/ve probably seen those in the flesh or at least heard of them.

On another topic, do you think it would be worth developing a slimline retractable skeg/rudder? Say it was double or even triply redundant on realignment to a thin skeg box on retraction.(triple redundant ones would not be quite as efficient rudders as the others). Foot deployable(or deck) and steerable, fixed footpegs. As it would have to include a special skegbox(still slim), it would prob cost 50% more than a sealine system - no external lines tho'. Of course kayaks would have to cut a slot for the skeg and it would have to be glued/glassed/mech fastened in.

Probably too cumbersome. Unfortunately would be a bitch to home fabricate.
