Epoxy can be a dangerous substance ubnder certain circumstances and especially for certain people. Please read epoxy manufacturers safety information. System 3 has a website that's good. I'm pretty sure they will all say it's a lousy idea for the amateur. Fill coats are easy to apply with a roller, a few thin coats will require very little sanding to fair and it's easy to protect youself if you are neat.
