Bill I have been thinking about using rip-stop nylon next time, then if this design works out OK, then make a good Dacron sail. My barber inherited a room full of kite making nylon on big rolls when his father-in-law passed away. He has no idea what to do with it. I have the poly sail double zigzag stitched around the edges and corners, the batten pocket edges seamed and ready to sew onto the sail. This is going to be tricky since I may not be able to get the sail material the sewing machine arm. If not I will have to sew by hand. Ugh!
