S&G: Filling up the garage.... *LINK* *Pic*

Getting close to starting on a new S&G inspired by and based fairly closely on Harvey Golden’s survey of MSU4274cw (pl.45).

Not sure what it was about this design that caught my eye but the overall dimensions (except for DWL) & coefficients are surprisingly similar to the Lc148 which has turned out to be a most enjoyable ride (now mostly my wife's). This one also looked like a design that should be fun in surf and sloppy stuff as it has a lot of volume and flare in the bow, mostly above the water line, and a fairly boxy stern section. CG lands right behind the 8' line. Hopefully it should respond fairly well to changes in trim, if not, it shouldn’t be too hard to turn. On the other hand, I could end up with a large and stylish weather vane...........

The ends are actually a good inch lower than the original lines. The points will be cut off (about 3-4 inches - 17.5’ overall) as it is easier to model that way and the offsets / panels come out the way you actually cut them. If you are interested in what you get from FreeShip follow the link.
