Hello,
I've built over a doz.kayaks, the Sea Wolf being one of them.I found it to be an interesting kit to build. It is a somewhat more challenging kit to build than say a Pygmy.I'm an intermediate paddler, and being such I would rate the Sea Wolf as a Kayak for intermediate to expert paddlers, but diffently a craft that a beginner could grow into, just start out in calm waters.
I've paddled the Sea Wolf on the Oregon coast at Netarts Bay,and found it to be fast and responsive with better initial stability than one might think.
I have photos of the Sea Wolf that I built for my son-in-law on the Spokane Wa. craigslists in boats, under "Wooden Kayak Craftsman"
Unless you're dead set on having a hard chine hulled kayak, you might want to take a closer look at the Pygmy Coho.

Be Prosperous,

Allan Cole

Hi there,
: I am looking for a review of Roy Folland's Sea Wolf.
: (Debating between the above design and Cirrus LT & Arctic Tern)
: I was surprised that this bulleting board had nothing on Roy's designs.

: Looking forward to your responses.
