Hi John

NZ only converted to the metric system in the 60's/70's so I first learnt the imperial system at school. It's only when I started building my first kayak to Pygmys plans that I had to reaquaint myself with feet, inches and fractions again and it was hard going. In saying that I still judge fuel efficiency in mpg and pounds pressure when I pump up my car tyres so even I haven't fully converted to metric.

Off topic I'm interested in your thoughts on the different hybrid designs out there but I'll start a new topic soon for some feedback.
