: Am I correct in assuming that: CLB-(Center of Lateral Buoyancy) and
: LCB-(Longitudinal Center of Buoyancy} are the same thing?

: FreeShip uses LCB and Kayak Foundry uses CLB, and I don't find one in the
: other program.

: Also: CLA- (Center of lateral area) the same as FreeShip's LCF (Lateral
: Center of Flotation)?

Hi Jeff,
To me, Centre of Lateral Bouyancy would be concerned with the position of the centre of bouyancy if you are looking from the bow or stern, while Longitudinal Centre of Buoyancy is where you are looking from the side.

If it's actually Centre of Longitudinal Buoyancy, they're the same thing.

Caveat. I don't have Kayak Foundry on my system now, I could be totally wrong.
