Skin-on-Frame: SOF versions of Guillemot designs?

Has anyone ever built a Skin on Frame version of a Guillemot design? I'm thinking of getting the plans for one of the designs and modifying it via the YOST method to a wood frame SOF. Main reason is cost, time and weight. I can't think of a reason why it wouldnt work especially on the simpler AUK designs
