Being new to this forum , I am not sure whether I should indeed be posting something of such little relevance, but it struck me that after receiving such helpfull advice that I should keep those that may have an interest informed, that they may consider similiar materials should they beoome available, given the broad geographic coverage of the forum.

So, I appologise if this post is not interesting enough to warrant, well, posting.

Anyway, here it is, a picture, assuming I manage to upload it correctly, of a few NG rosewood shavings. I was quite interested at the contrast in the boards, both of which have a fantasitc aroma, my workshop has never smelled so good, the lighter timber is far more fragrant.

If the pic is not able to be viewed then I will try again. I expected the Narra to be more in the middle of both colours, a more warmish tone, but anyway, ya get what ya get, time to think of a design.

This may appear quite a challenge, but has anyone ever done circular marquetry, as I would like to reflect the indigenous nature of the waters upon which I intend to enjoy the kayaks that I am building. Possibly a bit of an ask for these kayaks but a definite possiblity for future builds. I have attached a pic of a rainbow serpent, of the genre that I would like to, embody, any ideas? Link is for the Serpant pic.
Thanks all.
