: Help! I am sanding my kayak prior to varnish and have found some spots where
: the glass had small pumps. I have sanded to the point that I am starting
: to sand the glass and the area around it has not been touched. I want to
: fill the low spots and cover the glass, but I worry that the un-sanded
: area will not get a good bond. Any advice on how to proceed will be very
: wellcomed.

Try using a scotch brite pad on those areas. Good idea to use it anyway with a little dish washing soap and water to prevent a chance of blush. The pads will deflect slightly around the bumps and then hit the surface surrounding them.
