I built a kayak with a lot of dark wood (peruvian walnut) in the deck. I went with a proven epoxy to minimize risk of softening/shifting in the hot sun. Though I have had no problems with it, I am still cautious about taking it to hotter latitudes.

My question is. What makes epoxy more heat tolerant and what are the trade offs, as in clarity and workability, to achieving this?
