Outer Island stripper at about 50 lbs.....
....with ash and mahogany over about 60% of deck
....with a heavy layup (4 oz. inside deck and hull, 6 oz. outside, doubled up over football, stern deck behind cockpit, and cockpit interior)
....with a typical beginner's heavy hand (epoxy "pooled" along keel line inside, end pours probably 2-1/2 times what they needed to be).
It seems to me as a novice builder, most of the weight differences come from the layup, and the inherent strength of the plywood allows stitch and glue builders to go lighter.
