: Hello All,
: I was wondering if anyone has used pine for their strippers on the deck. How
: does it look and does it change color much over time. I am thinking of
: using it for accent strips.
I used a strip of pine one strip below the shear on my hull, and some pine alternating with dark WRC around my coaming riser. I wish I would have just stuck with contrasting colors of WRC, the pine does not contrast much with the lighter WCR, and it is slightly harder, so when you sand, the WCR wears away more quickly. I have slight dishing on the coaming riser WCR strips. I think that there is such a tremendous color range is cedar, I could do most any pattern I would want to with only cedar.
