: I posted a couple of weeks ago about an issue I had with my sprayskirt coming
: off the coaming lip if I pushed down hard on the top of it. Suggestions
: were to extend the lip (it's now about 1/2" deep). I've thought of an
: idea that may or may not be good and would like to hear opinions on it.

It depends on what you mean by "deep"? If you mean the vertical dimension of the lip, that's deeper than necessary (1/4" is plenty). If you mean the horizontal dimension of the lip (width), it should be adequate, but increasing it may help.

: Would it be practical to take nylon string and epoxy it in place around the
: underside perimeter of the coaming lip? Seems like if the string was the
: same color as the coaming it would look OK.

I'm not sure what you would gain by doing this. Spray skirt issues are typically caused by either a loose fit of the skirt on the rim or a poor coaming shape (straight or concave sections in the shape). If you're using a nylon skirt, rather than neoprene, that's part of the problem too, as they generally don't hold well no matter what you do.
