Hi Bill,
That's a bit like the system I've been using, using the kayak as part of the towing. The flex isn't a problem walking the kayak/trolley, the nose weight is only a few pounds and I can prevent bounce with my hand, but tying the kayak to the tow bar does help if it's attached to the trike.
