Strip: some big-ish gaps *Pic*

while doing an accent strip with walnut, I've ended up with a few gaps that are a bit larger than usual. One gap (see pic below) ocurred when the stip lifted a bit. The second gap (http://www.dryfly.ca/gallery2/v/canoe/DSC_0617.JPG.html) happened because the pinstrip wasn't milled/cut quite evenly.

Is it worth it to try and cut the glue where the strip lifted, and then re-glue and clamp it down? I don't know if I'll be able to improve it, and I might make it worse.

As for the gap shown in the link above, I suppose I'll just fill it with something. Any suggestions on that would be appreciated.
