How remotely ? The west of Scotland is hard to beat, with plenty of centres
of learning in the central valley not far away. Wales: Anglesey has some
superb paddling near Bangor University, although there's only so many trips
you can do there before you need to go a bit further afield for variety.
Here's a pic from two days ago off North Stack - perfect summer weather,
hardly any wind, a little swell and got the race just right at the peak of
the ebb ! We've paddled the races here in February in good weather, so it
should count as a short winter .... BTW sorry the quality isn't great - I
can't take still photos in these conditions, so this is a still from the
video :-) My videos aren't up to 'This is the sea' standard either, so watch
those to see some of the other races hereabouts ...
