Initial progress was fast. Lofted the tables, built the forms, made strips from redwood and WRC, made the strongback, and put the first few strips on in about a month's work. Then life hit me. Now, after a year has passed, I have finally completed the canoe. I took it out for its maiden voyage last night.

As you can't see from the picture that is not there, the hull is made from WRC and Redwood. All the trim is walnut. I even caned the seat (a first for me). Although some of you make shutter at the thought, I applied a graphite coating on the buttom of the hull that covers the football area. Since I fish in the boat, and the creeks/ponds I frequent are rocky, I thought it best to add a little extra protection.

If someone can coach me, I will post a picture. Or, if someone will post it for me, I will send them a picture or two.
