I have to agree with the other posters. I wouldn't bet the bank on the long term strength of 5-minute epoxy. The advice to just heat the inside of the hull is good. In fact, I've done footbraces that way. Just be sure not to create a fire hazard. Secure the heat source and monitor the temp until it stabilizes.
