Salut Gaetan,

The 5:1 will probably blush so I would wait 24 hours after application, wash and scrub as I already explained, then apply the cloth and the wet out coat. Like Gerald, I have tried both methods (pre-coating and not pre-coating)and I can't really say that one is better than the other for me. Both can look either good or bad if done properly or not.

You can always try it first on a test panel of scrap strips glued together and sanded with the same grits as your boat. Since you will be using an epoxy that you are not familiar with, I would recommend a test.
