Well, that looks great. Have you done a dry fit to make sure it won't hinder entry and exit, esp. wet exit?

Maybe just seal coat the inside with a couple coats epoxy, possibly strips of bias tape at the corners if it needs it. Outside wrapped in light glass--or not. As I've recently been told here, "Think Light!".

Since the size is fairly manageable, you might be able to put it in some sort of heated space (tented plastic w/space heater on low, a bathroom or other small room, etc) and get it cured out faster. Get the heat either steady around 80-90* or let it fall off during curing.

Just a thought. Can't wait to see it installed!

I was going to do similarly, but found I just did not have the room in the cockpit.

: The under deck tube box is sanded. Making the tube to this point has taken me
: about 8 hours total time over three days, so it could probably be done in
: a day. I cut most of the strips with a 5 degree edge on the table saw and
: the half width strips on the on the corners of the tube I cut 10 degrees
: edges which worked out well, so I had no planning at all to do. I will
: start fiber glassing today and this will take some time to go through all
: of the steps especially since I have the slow setting epoxy. The tube end
: will be fiberglass separately on both sides and the inside of the tube
: will be glassed separately also. Then later the tube will be epoxied to
: the bottom. This makes the inside glassing to the tube easy and simple.
: Later the outside of the tube will be glassed, extending over the bottom
: edge to help hold the bottom solidly to the tube. Hope it all works out.
