Finally (Bias Tape)

Well, I finally figured out the trick in using the bias tape that came with my Guillemot kit. (This is listed as 1 1/2" Bias Fiberglass Tape on the list of materials) Here is what I did:

Pre-coat the area I needed the tape on. Lay down the bias tape and wet it out. Come back in 5 minutes and wet it out (saturate) it again. Come back 5 minutes later and do it once more. This stuff sucked up as much epoxy as I could throw at it, but it finally became workable. It never became real clear like the 6 oz glass did (It is very thick and has a very dense weave), but it at least became pliable enough that I could make it stay where I wanted it.

I'm only using this stuff where it won't be seen (Like to reinforce the hatch lip).

Hope this helps someone in the future,

Woody
