It's been a while since I found my saw and took it apart, but I think the deck may have some play that you can use to adjust the blade. If the blade pinion bearings and the trunion bearings are tight you should be able to align the blade unless something is bent or broken. I would urge you tear the saw down to check, clean and lube everything. As John says, these saws were well made and worth the effort to rehab.

My saw was made in the late forties or early fifties, so while some parts may be available for it I'm sure the blade carriage design has changed over the years. But Sears is pretty good at supporting its tools, so I would start there. The Rigid company is the current manufacturer of Sears and Home Depot stationary power tools and the successor of whomever made your saw. You can try contacting them at their web site to see if they can help.

If all else fails a local machine shop should be able to make a replacement for you broken part. I understand that the Afgans make respectible copies of Russian machine guns with hand drills and files.
