: I'm glassing my bulkheads and hatch lips. I've put the glass and first coat
: of epoxy on and it's drying now. My question is if there is any benefit or
: reason to add fill coats to the bulkheads and hatch lips? Seems to me that
: no fill coats should be OK since these'll be out of site. Thanks.

If you did not apply a seal coat before fiberglassing, it would be a good idea to apply one fill coat now. This will seal pinholes, often caused by minor outgassing,.

Fill coats of resin (or varnish for that matter) on hatch lips will provide a better seal than the waffle texture of unfilled cloth.
