: I'm glassing my bulkheads and hatch lips. I've put the glass and first coat
: of epoxy on and it's drying now. My question is if there is any benefit or
: reason to add fill coats to the bulkheads and hatch lips? Seems to me that
: no fill coats should be OK since these'll be out of site. Thanks.

I wouldn't fill the bulkheads, but would fill the topside of the hatch lip so you get a good surface to stick your hatch foam or silicone to. And make sure you do a fill coat on the perimeter of the underside of your hatch lids so that you have a nice, smooth surface to seal against.
