Tom,

This sounds like a great boat. If I understand its construction, it sounds a lot like the kayak with the foam-filled cockpit that Paul was describing in his building suggestions. I'd love to see pictures, especially the detail of how you managed to get the pedals mounted through the hull without letting water accumulate in the cockpit. Sounds as though there's a slot in your foam fill which allows pedal motion. Seems as though by the time you'd allowed room for your feet (or mine, size 13) you'd have a pretty big slot with maybe a lot of water in it.

Do you have a hand-controlled rudder like the Mirage?
