you got to have an extra in case aunt Mable comes and wants to paddle
you need a tripping boat with room for gear for one week
you need a tripping boat with room for gear for three weeks
you need a surfing boat
you need a day trip boat
you need a couple of tandems
you need tripping canoes and solo canoes and play canoes and I really must get back to building so I can get the boats I need finished.
