In Response To: Interior seam tape techniques? (Andy Miller)

: Tomorrow night (finally) I'm taping the interior deck/hull seam. So far I've
: found several different techniques for wetting out the tape.

: - Soak the rolled up tape in resin, then unroll it into the seam.
: - Lay the tape into the seam dry, then wet it out with a brush on-a-stick.
: - Wet out a bit of the tape at a time, push it toward the stem with a stick,
: wet out the next bit, repeat until done.

: I've never done this before and would appreciate any advice, pros, cons,
: other technique...

: Thanks,
: Andy.

Hi Andy
I just did that job last week (second boat)
I did the saturation method it works well if you prepare all your stuff and go at it .I would prefer to soak the roll and push the last bit with a stick rather than wet out the tape with a brush on a stick. It's a bit of a relief when it's done. Good Luck You'll do fine.

Regards Terry
PS another post talked of rolling wet tape up on a small foam roller.I might try that next time. Cheers!
