: I raised the sheer at the stems especially the bow, to get a little more
: volume to prevent plunging and weathercocking. The bow height on my skinny
: Walrus is 15", I think it is 13" on the plywood one.

: Lowering the sheer 1" amidships should be good. What does that give you
: for a depth to sheer?

Well, I wasn't sure what point to measure from so here are two:

At form 4 which should be the back of the cockpit I had 6-1/2" from bottom of the keel to top of sheer stringer.

I also measured the distance from chine to sheer at the same point and got 6".

Minor setback last evening, one of my sheer stringers popped the scarf joint loose. Fortunately I hadn't glued it to the bow and stern yet, it was just clamped in place so I was able to take it back off and reglue it.

I've been busy planing the stringers so the panels will lay flush.
