I don't know what's in 303, but it does repel water, and the folks at Betsie Bay had to put ENORMOUS amounts of labor and powerful solvents and other nasty chemicals to get it out of the wood so they could refinish the boat. Don't use it on wood if you might ever want to refinish or repaint it.
