: how much rocker is too much?
: following the book i get 1.5 inches of rocker at either end. it looks like a
: lot to me. btw, i'm building from r. morris's book.

I'm in the process of doing the same thing, but with some additional input from Bob Boucher's video and Chris Cunningham's Sea Kayaker articles. I'm not as far along as you are (still working on the deck), but I was just planning to follow the book regarding rocker. Morris also suggests the option of pulling in the keel to create a skeg at the stern, but I'm not sure that I want to do that. I'll probably either go with a curved keel or flatten it somewhat toward the stern. I figure I can always add an external skeg if the need arises, but unbending the keel would be a real pain. Besides, an external skeg would provide some abrasion protection as well.

Anyone out there have any experience with the bent keel/skeg approach?
