What type of paint??

I'm nearing the finishing stage of my 'yak. I plan on running a stripe along the hard chine where the deck meets the hull. Anyway, my plan is to paint it over the sanded epoxy, then varnish over everything. What kind of paint should i use? I don't want the varnish to smear the paint or anything like that.
