Mihke,

Chris Cunningham's S&G Greenland? -- do you know if that was the boat from the construction article in the fall '94 Sea Kayaker Magazine? Or, is it a more recent boat? How would you say it handled as compared to your Plywood Walrus?

: ....Not only beautiful, but it is one of the best handling kayaks that I have
: ever paddled, Joe obviously put a lot of thought into that one. It is
: extremely quick, turns on a dime, but still has that solid Redfish
: tracking. The stability was just right for me, moderate initial, with
: strong secondary. I would have loved to have taken it out off the point
: into those confused seas. Another hot design there was Chris Cunningham's
: Greenland Stitch and Glue. Both were nice high performance kayaks. The
: Greenland Stitch and Glue had looser tracking, but carved very tight crisp
: turns, while the Redfish King seemed to carve almost as tight of turns,
: but would track straight as needed for thos long crossings, both were very
: quick, and felt like they would have a nice high cruising speed. I have to
: hurry up and finish Tammy's Spring Run now, so that I can build one of
: these two kayaks.
