: The King is...

....Not only beautiful, but it is one of the best handling kayaks that I have ever paddled, Joe obviously put a lot of thought into that one. It is extremely quick, turns on a dime, but still has that solid Redfish tracking. The stability was just right for me, moderate initial, with strong secondary. I would have loved to have taken it out off the point into those confused seas. Another hot design there was Chris Cunningham's Greenland Stitch and Glue. Both were nice high performance kayaks. The Greenland Stitch and Glue had looser tracking, but carved very tight crisp turns, while the Redfish King seemed to carve almost as tight of turns, but would track straight as needed for thos long crossings, both were very quick, and felt like they would have a nice high cruising speed. I have to hurry up and finish Tammy's Spring Run now, so that I can build one of these two kayaks.
