stretch or shrink???

In Response To: 14' or 17' (Mike)

What happens if you take your set of plans, and keeping all other measurements the same, put the stations for the 17' kayak at 11+1/4 inches rather than 12 inches? Will you get a 16' kayak with the pieces fitting together correctly for the same basic hull shape? Or put the stations for the 14' at 13 inches for a 15' kayak?
