I ordered from Defender once and purchased their 6oz x 38" cloth. I had some trouble getting all fibers to wet-out completely when I used it on the hull of my Panache. There were places where the weave was visible. Before glassing the deck, I bought some more glass from another source and did not have the problem with wet-out. I know others have had success with Defender cloth, so perhaps my experience was an isolated case. Still, I'm in no hurry to try Defender cloth again. I've been getting most of my cloth from Raka and have been very pleased with it.

: Les,
: Thanks for the information. I am building a 17 foot Great Auk, from Nick,s
: book. Have you used the fiberglass from Defender? If so, does it wet out
: good and how is the color? How is their customer service (deliver on time,
: etc.)?

: Thanks, Ronnie
