Definitely get that varnish on the hull, especially if you transport your kayak upside down the way I do. I used Captain's instead of Flagship, but it's held up well for 3 years now. Looks like it's about time to think about re-varnishing, after 3 years' of beach landings. Good luck with your varnishing.
